This spring is designed to fit various GMT-Master II models, including 16700, 16710, 16713, 16718, and 16760. The early shorter spring used in the 16710 model was replaced by the 317-16628, but the 317-16760 should work just fine for your purpose.

I pop the bezel off with my fingers, remove the retention ring and push the insert out from the bottom of the bezel. I snap the new insert in with my thumbs, applying uniform pressure starting at six o'clock working to twelve. Place the retention ring in and then snap the bezel back onto the watch. Takes about a minute.
Bezel rocks up underneath the spring and snaps over the washer onto the retaining ring. Rotate the teeth to align as desired. Then, install your insert with the triangle aligned at top dead center. After removing 30-40% of the grease on the washer under the bezel, I clamped the GEN spring, which moves perfect and has no play / flex. Picture 10: I then pressed on the bezel and glued in the bezel inlay using an adhesive ring, here you can see the result. It was fun and the result is stunning.
